Succulent plant care tips:
- Light: Succulents thrive in bright, indirect sunlight. Place them near a window where they can receive ample sunlight. However, be cautious of too much direct sunlight, especially in hot climates, as it can lead to sunburn.
- Soil: Use well-draining soil specifically formulated for succulents or cacti. Good drainage prevents waterlogged soil, which can lead to root rot.
- Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is a common issue with succulents. Water the soil directly, and avoid getting water on the leaves to prevent rot.
- Temperature: Succulents generally prefer temperatures between 60ยฐF to 75ยฐF (15ยฐC to 24ยฐC). They can tolerate cooler temperatures but may suffer damage if exposed to frost.
- Containers: If planting succulents in containers, make sure the pots have drainage holes to prevent water from accumulating at the bottom.
